Hong Kong Penthouse is most expensive November 25, 2007

Hong Kong: A luxury apartment here has set a new record as the most expensive flat in Asia, after fetching US$36.3 million. The penthouse in the upscale Mid-Levels district sold earlier this month for US$5,142 per square foot. The Mid-Levels penthouse is located at 52nd and 53rd floors of the Branksome Crest tower. Each penthouse covers 658.5 square meters.
The price shattered the previous record for Asia most expensive apartment which was held by another property in Hong Kong that was sold in October at US$4,370 per square foot.

This is real crazy man!!! Who would want to pay so much for an apartment. What happens when the economic climate changes? Whoever bought it must be a super-duper rich person.
For me, I would spend the money to provide for the needy. Help to place food on the table for thousands of families and educate the poor. I want to change the world if I have so much money. To me, over pampering oneself is a sin.
