Bilawal Bhutto to lead PPP January 1, 2008
Posted by blogerita in : Politics , add a commentKarachi: The son of slain Pakistan People’s Party leader, Benazir Bhutto, has been appointed as the co-leader for the party. Bilawal is only 19 years old and still studying in Oxford University. The other co-leader is his father, Asif Ali Zardari.
In the press conference announcing his appointment, he claimed that he is ready to lead the party.
Blogerita says:
The family name of Bhutto can really sell. Just like the family name of Ghandi in India. Bhutto family name gave Pakistan two prime ministers – Benazir and Zulfikar. Ghandi name has given India so many leaders since independent from Nehru to Indira Ghandi, Rajiv Ghandi and almost, Sonia Ghandi.
Does it mean having good family name means you are a born leader? I can’t comment for India and Pakistan. It seems to me that all Bhuttos and Ghandis are born leaders.

Benazir Bhutto
June 21, 1953 - Dec 27, 2007
Rawalpindi:Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in a suicide attack. Her attacker fired a few shots at her when she came out from the sunroof of her bullet-proof car to acknowledge the crowd after a successful public rally.
After firing the shots, he detonated a bomb attached to himself and killed another 20 people in the blast.
Benazir Bhutto, 54, was the best known Pakistani opposition leader to take on President Pervez Musharraf on the coming general election. She was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan twice. First was in 1988 at the age of 35 and the second was in 1993.
She returned home on Oct 18 after a self-imposed exile to participate in the first general election in many years. In her homecoming parade in Karachi, she was targeted by suicide attackers which failed to assassinate her but killed more than 140 people.
Blogerita says:
Benazir Bhutto is a brave leader to lead the Pakistan People Party (PPP) in the most dangerous election. Her family has suffered a lot in the politics of Pakistan. Her father, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was hanged by the military in 1979. She lost two brothers in strange circumstances. Shah Nawaz died of poisoning in southern France in 1985. Another brother, Murtaza, was shot dead in Karachi in 1996.
May I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Benazir Bhutto and the people of Pakistan.

Hong Kong:Jet Li, the famous kung-fu actor from Hong Kong and a follower of Tibetian Buddhism, said he has met Dalai Lama and respected his teachings. But, he believes that Tibet should be unified with China. Further to that, he also believe that Taiwan should be unified with China as one country. Jet Li is famous for this role in the movie Fearless.
Taiwan split from China after the civil war in 1949 which the Communist, led by Mao Tze Tung, won. China still views Taiwan as part of China.
Chinese troop invaded Tibet in 1951 and continue to rule Tibet since then. Dalai Lama fled to India in 1959.
Blogerita says:
Leave the politics to the politicians. You continue to do what you do best - act in kung-fu movies. Since you are a public figure, do not try to make public statement else your words maybe be used by others for their own benefits.

Bali:This little island in Indonesia is playing host to 10,000 delegates from 180 nations around the world to attempt to start talks on how to replace the Kyoto Protocol which will expire in 2012.
They will consider whether cuts to emission should be voluntary or mandatory, how to reduce deforestation and ways to help poor countries which are expected to suffer from severe droughts and floods due to global warming.
The meeting will face huge challenges ahead with Unites States with Australia refusing to sign to the Kyoto Protocol and the other two up and coming economic superpower, China and India, have made it clear that any agreement should not be impinging on their economic growth and attempts to eradicate poverty.
Blogerita says:
Dear politicians, you created this mess, please clean it up. We put you in your position to make the world a better place. Now, the planet is not getting healthier, do you job or else you will be booted out of office.

If the PM house is for sale, can a foreigner buy it? I want to live there. I want to see the spectacular fireworks at Sydney harbour. The view is truly beautiful.
I hope Kevin Rudd and Labor party will win and form the next government. My wish is for him to fulfill his electoral promises and to bring back the Australian troops from Iraq. Build better relationship with their neighbours in Asia Pacific. Stop being an American Sheriff in Asia. Be friendlier to immigrants.
