Carla Bruni

Paris: President Nicholas Sarkozy is back to the dating scenes again. That’s two months after he divorced his wife, Cecilia Sarkozy, of 11 years.

He was seen with supermodel-turned-singer Carla Bruni at the Disneyland Paris. Carla Bruni is known to have dated Mick Jagger and Donal Trump.

However, the President’s office refused to comment on the couple citing that this is their personal matters.

Blogerita says:
Isn’t this a calculated move by President Sarkozy to announce his latest love in life to the public in the fairy tale Disneyland Paris. French people should celebrate with their President who has found love in his life. This will help him take away some stress from work.

New York:Roy Den Hollander sued a few New York nightclubs including Lotus and China Clubs because he felt he was discriminated against by ladies’ nights which gave ladies free or heavility discounted admission to the nightspots.

However, according to defense lawyers for the nightclubs, men are not discriminated against by ‘ladies nights’ which is similar to ‘early bird’ or ‘kids eat free’ or discounts for senior citizens promotions.

Blogerita says:
This is purely a simple and yet effective marketing campaign to manage demands and also, influence demands. Every business school students know that demand needs to be managed and influence to optimize sales and revenue. Every nightclub operator knows that girls will attract guys, so by giving out free drinks or discounted drinks, they will bring in the guys and the sales liquor and other drinks will go up.

Hyderabad: Two men chopped off the right leg of a self-proclaimed holy man believing that it had magical power. The holy man claimed that his leg has magical power and whoever touches it will be cured of whatever illness or have their wishes granted.

The two men posed as appreciative followers who offered him drinks in appreciation of his help with the magic touch. Once he passed out, they chopped of his right leg.

Currently, police is looking for the two men and the ‘magical’ right leg. The chances of finding the leg is slim in this superstitious country. Superstitions and belief in magic is widespread in rural India.

Blogerita says:
I am speechless. I thought only Aesop can thinking of ‘Goose that lays the golden eggs’ fable. Now, in India, you have the holy man with magical leg. I rest my case. Only in India can you find this sort of news.

Bangkok:Thai girls in rural northeastern province are dumping their foreign spouses in high numbers. There are more than one hundred divorces cases filed in Khon Kaen Civil court in the past three months alone involving local girls splitting from their foreign partners.

According to Patikorn Khonpipat, chief justice of the Juvenile and Family Court, he speculated this could be due to misalignment of expectation of the Thai girls when they married the foreign men. They could have unreasonable expectations of quality lifestyle and good income when they married foreign men. Once they realized the reality, they became disillusioned and seek to divorce from their partners.

Blogerita says:
Sex sells but men are not dumb. Why would rich foreign men go to a faraway land to find love when then can easily afford luxurious life back home. To all ladies out there, if you are thinking of finding men for money, think again. Men are not dumb too.

“When there is a will, there is a way.” I am totally dumbfounded and yet, impressed by her courage to come forward to contribute to the poor and needy. I am sure she understood what it means by being the underprivileged. Her action has put a positive face to the world oldest profession. Hats off to you, Maria Carolina.

Boston: A convicted bank robber, Timothy Elliot, who is not supposed to be gambling has won US$1 million from the “$800 Million Spectacular” game. He bought the US$10winning lottery scratch ticket from a supermarket.

The state probation commissioner has started a hearing to determine if Timothy has violated his probation when he bought the ticket.

Elliot has already collect and probably enjoyed the money, from the first of his 20 annual US$500,000 checks from the Massachusetts’ Lottery Commission.

Blogerita says:
Is this considered gambling? The lottery tickets are sold openly in supermarkets, etc. It’s not the Las Vegas’ casino type of gambling. Give him a break. I would suggest to the state probation commisioner to provide Timothy financial counselling to help him invest his winnings wisely.

Making out in train station November 27, 2007

Copenhagen:Passengers at a Danish train station were left standing in the cold because a couple began having sex in the waiting room. Passengers decided to report this to the rail company to complain that they were stuck out in the cold because of a couple making love in the waiting room.

Police were called in and they put an end to their fun with an advice to “go back to your bed, away from prying eyes”.

Interestingly, the police did not charge them for indecency. According to the police spokesperson, “I guess they were not Vikings (because) they remained dressed. That’s why we did not charge them for indecency”.

Blogerita says:
People do have animal instinct in them. When they get horny, they just do it. Well, some people have less control over their sex hormones.

My advice to the couple is to leave public places to others. Go make love at home. Make out like rabbits for all I care. If you are an exhibitionist, go make out in the park. Go make out in the zoo. Go make out it in the cinema. But not in a train station, bus station or airport. Leave these places alone.

Spare the rod

Wellington: A New Zealand father has been convicted of assault for smacking his eight-year-old son on the bottom in what is believed to be the first case under a controversial new law. The man was sentenced to nine months supervision including undergoing anger management.

The new law was passed in May removing a provision allowing parents to used ‘reasonable force’ in disciplining their children.

Blogerita says:
Watchout New Zealand government! What you have done is “Spare the rod and spoil the child”. In short term, you may look good. In long term, you may have just created a generation of children who will misbehave and be irresponsible towards their parents.

With greying population increasing each year, raising an irresponsible young generation will place a whole lot of financial burden on the government to look after the greying generation.

Think again, New Zealand government!
