The fight for the English Premier League champion is way too close. The top five team have equal chance to win the League title. No one can afford to make mistakes and give away valuable points in any game they place. The team managers like Alex Ferguson, Rafael Benitez, Arsene Wenger and Sven Eriksson have to take good care of the players as any injury may cost them valuable points in the following games.

Manchester: Alex Ferguson, team manager for Manchester United, blew his top when his ace striker Cristiano Ronaldo was booked for diving. He accused Fulham goalkeeper, Antti Niemi, for ‘conning’ the referee Rob Styles into booking Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo had scored two goals and the third was at his mercy. He had scored the goals through a first-half volley and a second-half header.

Manchester United defeated Fulham 2-0.

Blogerita says:
Not all decisons will go the Manchester United way. Sometimes, Alex Ferguson need to be ready for disappointment too. Alex Ferguson has to accept this decision whether it’s a good or bad decision.

EPL is going on a team manager sacking season. It looks like this is the best and easiest decision for the board of director to take whenever a team does not meet the expectation. My advice to Billy is to take sometime off to rest and you will be back to top flight soccer soon. Best of luck to you.

England is out of Euro 2008 November 23, 2007

It was such a shock. England failed to make it into the finals of Euro 2008 in Austria & Switzerland. To rub salt into the wound, they lost to Croatia 2-3 in Wembley, the home of English soccer. I am sure thousands of English fans cried about their team misfortune. Fortunately, we did not show their ugly face of hooliganism.

Steve McClaren & Terry VenablesAs in every defeat, someone has to take the brunt. Team manager, Steve McClaren and his assistant Terry Venables were sacked by the English FA. Accordingly to Steve McClaren, he took the full responsibility of the defeat. This is the first time England has failed to enter the final rounds in any major competition since 1994 World Cup.

Steve McClaren was appointed team manager 18 months ago and was hailed as the true saviour for England team. He did many courageous decisions like dropping David Beckham which I fully supported. David Beckham was more of a poster boy of English FA than a true world class player who went all out to play for his country. However, with his current crop of players, talents are lacking and success seems to be evading them.

I am sure Steven McClaren and Terry Venables will land themselves to another job somewhere. They were great players during their time. I am sure they will raise again. All the best to you Steve and Terry!
